Paige Glovenski never expected basketball to become her sport. Encouraged by a friend to attend an Antietam open gym, she went on to score a program-record 1,373 points, earn All-Berks honors, and become one of the top scorers in Berks County history. In this edition of Berks Bests, Glovenski reflects on her record-setting career, unforgettable memories, and life after basketball.

Devon Merritt left Berks Catholic as the program's all-time leading scorer and one of the most accomplished players in Berks County history. A two-time All-State selection and James Madison graduate, Merritt reflects on the friendships, coaches, and work ethic that shaped her journey from Berks Catholic standout to collegiate athlete and her professional career.

Berks Catholic will move from Berks I to Berks II in both boys and girls basketball beginning with the 2026-27 season after BCIAA approval of a new Berks Girls Basketball League alignment. The move ends the Saints’ six-season run in Berks I while keeping the conference’s current crossover scheduling format intact.
