Grace Reedy never set out to become Exeter’s all-time leading scorer. But after reaching 1,000 career points, she set her sights on the program record and finished with 1,403 points, two straight Berks II titles, and Exeter’s first All-State selection. Now studying nursing at Pitt, Reedy still follows the program she helped put back on the map.

Ashley Espinosa helped restore Gov. Mifflin girls basketball to the top of Berks County, leading the Mustangs to a county championship, scoring a program-record 1,803 career points, and guiding them to the PIAA Final Four. More than a decade later, Espinosa still follows the game and Mifflin athletics, including current senior Bella Super, who has a chance to break her scoring record.

Corielle Yarde's 2,283 career points at Schuylkill Valley remain second all-time in Berks County girls basketball history. But her legacy goes far beyond the record book. From leading the Panthers to their only Berks championship to winning four straight MAAC titles at Marist, Yarde built a career defined by excellence, teamwork and perseverance. Now a Hall of Famer and real estate agent, she reflects on the people and traditions that shaped her journey.

Tulpehocken girls basketball will have new leadership this season as the Trojans welcome Skylar Sheriff as their next head coach. The Blue Mountain graduate and Schuylkill County native takes over after serving as the Eagles’ junior varsity coach and leading the Schuylkill Select AAU program. Sheriff inherits a program looking to turn the tide after several seasons of struggles and believes building a strong culture will be the foundation for future success.

When Zena Edwards Lutz graduated from Hamburg in 1985, she was Berks County's all-time leading scorer with 2,231 career points. She accomplished the feat before the 3-point line and while playing with the larger boys basketball. More than 40 years later, she still ranks third in county history and remains the Hawks' all-time leading scorer by a wide margin.
